Adam Curry!!!

Okay! One of the coolest things happened to me last night!!  I came home from a meeting and I was getting ready to go to bed. Well my mom calls me and says, “Hey a new Podcast played one of your songs.” To which I say, “cool!”

Well, mom was listening to it, and thought to myself, “I know that voice.” So I asked mom who it was and she said, “…uuuhhh, some guy named Adam Curry…”  My brain did a jilt and I thought…THE Adam Curry? Then, I thought, okay so maybe it’s not the guy I’m thinking of….so I did the google thing and found the link to the site and saw my name listed on Adam Curry’s weblog. The whole time pulsating the words, “Oh – my – gosh!” in my mother’s ear to which she was VERY confused!

“Who is this guy?”

“Mom, I watched Adam Curry on Mtv when when I was little!”

“When did you watch Mtv?”

“When you weren’t at home…latch-key kid mom, remember!”

“Oooohh….should have had a babysitter!”

“I turned out fine, mom!”

Well, long story short, the service I’m on emails me about the Podcasts, so I always email the caster and thank them for playing our music! So, I emailed Adam Curry…like a blubbering idiot…and thanked him from the bottom of my groveling heart! WOW ADAM CURRY!! He’s just beyond COOL!!!!!!

Getting the RSS feed to put on the blog too!

I wonder if his coolness relates to his awesome hair...i.e. Agassi's former do?!

Andre Runner-up! :) :(

First of all, thank goodness for laptops!

Now, I am VERY proud to be an Agassi fan! He played some of the best tennis EVER!  When he won the 2nd set, I was hopeful! (So was Stephi! She who NEVER shows emotion…did!  ) But, unfortunately after the 3rd set tie break going in Federer’s favor…it was downhill. Please, please, please, Andre DON’T quit! My suggestion? Get with Lance Armstrong’s conditioning trainer and come back stronger than ever! Just a thought! It was a great match, but I still have hope for another Grand Slam! Still love ya, man! Nite!

PS - AWESOME at reading Roger's moves! I think you're the only player out there with the mental strength to handle that level of pressure!

AGASSI IN THE FINALS!!!!

Andre is SOOO in the finals!! He plays against Roger Federer. Andre, I have hope for you!! And a bit of advice…STAY FAR AWAY FROM ROGER’S FOREHAND!  And Roger…STEP OUT OF THE WAY OF A LEGEND!! In my opinion, it’s just Andre’s year!

Such a cute “daddy” moment! Awe! I’m such an Agassi-Graf kid fan already!!!!!!  I’m sick!

Also, rock on for Pierce and Clijsters

Oh - My - GOODNESS!!

MAN! Regis is even talkin’ about it!!!! “One of the greatest matches of all time…” But he had to go to bed and MISSED it!! HA!! Good call on this too Reg: “Blake is the future!!” - I agree!!

Pins and needles could not even express what I felt last night! I thought it was ALL OVER for Agassi!! (But I didn’t TOTALLY give up) Blake was up 2 sets 6-3 6-3. Man…even Mac was talkin’ about how he (Agassi) looked his age on the court. (Thanks for helping out John-John!)  I kept thinking, “Andre, I KNOW you wait to ‘feel”  your opponent out before whacking the daylight out of every hole in their game, but…this is a little TOO long of an analysis!) Man, I was praying for his sciatic nerve, leg cramps… (actually I’m a little ashamed of that. God needs to be helping out the hurricane victims more. I was just hoping that this ‘little’ thing (comparatively) would make it on his ‘sure I’ll help Andre out’ list for the day.)  Thank you Jesus!!! And Andre should be saying the same thing!! Andre after an “epic” (as the US Open website puts it) 5 set match (Blake has only played one other 5 setter in a major, I think…) Andre FINALLY wins in a 5th set tiebreak. HONESTLY by the hair of his chiny, chin, chin! (Or head in his case…hee, hee!)

Final Score:

3-6, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-6 (8-5)

Mercy, the 3rd set started to turn things around, but after Blakes millionth ace, (actually it was 19…and one time he did it 3 times in a row!! Good Golly Miss Molly!! Oye!) I was stressin’!  All of a sudden, Andre got this 2nd, 3rd and 4th wind. Even HE said, when interviewed, he had NO idea how he won that match!! I can say that James Blake gained another fan…me (not against Andre mind you…even Nadal takes a back seat!) And not just because of the tragedies in his life, he man has an awesome game! (Even Momma-Sue, who laughs at my tennis interest, noticed his amazing talent!) And of course he should have an awesome game! Who is the player he most emulates? ANDRE AGASSI!!! HA!

The only thing I’d say about Blake…the F-bomb needs to be removed from his vocab. At least during the matches! Not only to you lose money, ya lose a little respect too, man. Too many impressionable kids hangin’ around wanting to play and SAY everything you do! I noticed Andre curbing his language. I KNOW it’s frustrating, but it says a lot about a person’s integrity when, in a stressful situation, you keep your cool…verbally!

All in all, It’s been awesome at the open this year, this AND including a ‘new one to watch’, Srichaphan (26 yrs old), lost in a 4 hour 25 min. match with Sangunetti. My dad even got into THAT one!! He (Srichaphan) learned to play tennis by watching videos of Micheal Chang! …love Chang, AWESOME guy!!  Sangunetti (a 33 yr old) played a great game, but they were both matched (no pun intended) in their games! Sangunetti finally lost to Nalbandian who will play Federer (poor guy…Nalbandian that is…) next. Andre will play Robby Ginepri (another American…YEAH!! 23 yrs old.) The ONLY thing Andre said about the match with Ginepri: “I can promise you that there’ll be an American in the finals!” I do want it to be you Andre!!

One more thing: What’s up with the girls? Biggest shocker in MY opinion? Both Williams sister out! Clijsters blasted Venus!! Whoa!  Now she plays Sharapova. Kim looks good! It should be a VERY interesting match! Also VERY happy for Mary! She won yesterday! You go girl!!

Lone Pine!!

What WAS that funky chord you played at the beginning of church today? I was so odd that I made Vicki listen to it!!! It was when in the sing "The joy of the Lord." I'll do it for ya:

Oh the joy of the Lord is my strength,
The joy of the Lord is my strength,
Oh the joy of the Lord is my strength,
Oh the joy of the Lord is my strength.

The underlined part!! Hmmm....TELL ME!!

Rough-Rafa!!

It was a sad, sad, sad day for Nadal fans!! Blake kept his cool and beat Nadal. It was an awesome match. Blake was fantastic; Nadal was a bit off. Loads of over shots and miss hits! Hmmm…won’t follow Lendl or Agassi this year! What can I say….Nadal made it to the 3rd and Roddick didn’t…he lost in the first round. Andy, Andy, Andy.  What WAS wrong with your racket? Sabotage?

On Blake, there was a slo-mo on his forehand…it was beautiful! Mr. Steve, ya would have been proud! It was almost like watching Federer in slo-mo or me...NOT!!!! Hmmmm……

BTW – What’s up the ‘no more photos of Nadal since he lost’ thing? SOUTH! Great ones of Blake! Well…never mind…found them!

Poor thing!!!

Random: Just saw Nick Bollettieri on screen! Yo Nicki!!! I'm sure he remembers me...NOT!!

Random: These ‘Emerald Nuts’ commercials…hee, hee! Very funny!! British ad company? Probably or influenced by! OH, and the IBM commercials…whoa…a bit scary!! One day the boxes WILL probably drive! AND Andy’s Mojo?…so scary in a completely different and (pause for effect) ‘oh please no’ way!!

OH and another BTW:

(don't hate me Julie!! I know your know Brooke, but...)

AGASSI's STILL IN!!!!!!!Oh yeah, my dad’s faith wavered but mine NEVER did!! Stephi I’m sure was proud! Berdych…he was a little twerpy today! 19, like Nadal, but without the sound emotional backbone. Completely transparent!! Hello! He (Berdych) is, as Mac said, “DANGEROUS!!” Loads of potential! (another one for you Julie) Like lightening trying to strike!!

That's me...and the definition of most of MY game!

Chat Time....unless I tell ya!

Roger Power!! (and the other boys!)

Okay, Roger Federer, AMAZING! Poor, poor Santoro…Ya know, I usually root for the underdog, (unless it’s Agassi or Nadal) but Roger is just WOW!! Standing-O from the crowd!! AND he’s good sportsman and all around great guy!! Whoa what a blazing match!! Nadal and Agassi up for today! (Not playing each other mind you! At least not yet!) Roger will probably win the tournament and…oh well!!! Go Roger!!!

This sums it up:

Commentator: So what’s the hardest thing about playing Roger?

Katrina "Kaos"

There are no words to express the devastation caused by Katrina. All of my friends are alright…but much is lost! In September, (probably longer) I am donating all CD sales through CDBaby and Tower Records to the survivors of Katrina. ALL of the money we would have gotten will go to the victims. This is a horrible, horrible, tragedy. If you can’t give money, GO SERVE and/or GIVE your STUFF! I’ve met and talked with SO many people who now have no home, clothes, family photos…they have nothing but memories! Fulfill their needs as best you can and PRAY!!
